Please note that new clients are not being taken for CAP Debt Centres across the UK until February 2020.

The Rhymney Valley Debt Centre will be continuing to support our existing clients and their families, & will be providing the CAP Money Course and other budgetting courses that are open to everyone over the next few months, until normal service resumes.

If you have any questions or concerns, or need to know where to turn for debt advice, please contact the Church Hall Office.

All other CAP services are continuing as normal (Job Clubs, Life Skills, e.g.) and details can be found on the CAP website.

“I had the privilege to attend the launch of the Bargoed Christians Against Poverty’s Debt Centre at St Gwladys’ Church Hall in my constituency on Monday, 19th May.
Initiatives like this are vital in these uncertain economic times, when it comes to supporting vulnerable people who are battling problems of debt.
This complements the work that the Welsh Government is doing through its Tackling Poverty Action Plan, and its support for credit unions, in order to help combat poverty and social exclusion, with the aim of helping people manage their finances and pull themselves out of debt.”
– Jeff Cuthbert Assembly Member for Caerphilly
